    FAQ

Q:Is the Eagle Eye capable of software updates?

A: Yes, software updates can be done via the MicroSD® card slot.

Q:What charts are compatible with the Eagle Eye unit?

A: C-MAP® Discover charts and Navionics are compatible.

Q: Does the Eagle Eye unit have built-in GPS?

A: Yes, Eagle Eye has a built-in GPS

    Q: Is Eagle Eye networkable?

    A: No.

Q: What transducers can be used with Eagle Eye?

A: Eagle Eye is only compatible with the Eagle Eye single array live sonar transducer

Q: Is the transducer that comes with the Eagle Eye unit compatible with the Lowrance HDS® Pro, HDS Live or Lowrance Elite FS® or the Eagle® Series?

A: No, this transducer is specifically made for Eagle Eye.

Q: Can forward live sonar and down live sonar be viewed at the same time?

A: No, the Eagle Eye display can only view either forward or down at one time. The views are switched inside of the live sonar view panel

Q: What resolution is expected from the live sonar? Is it less than ActiveTarget®?

A: No, The live sonar included in Eagle Eye is a single array of the live sonar technology used in ActiveTarget 2. This limits the total coverage area, but not the resolution of the image.

Q: Why is most of the screen black on a live sonar view?

A: Since Eagle Eye only uses one live sonar array, it does not have the same total coverage as you would expect from ActiveTarget 2. There is a gap in the viewable area between the forward beam and the downward beam. Adjusting the forward range further out as you are in deeper water will present more information from the forward view on screen.

Q: Can Eagle Eye live sonar be turned into Scout mode from ActiveTarget 2?

A: No, since the single array only covers two smaller areas, scout mode is not usable and therefore is disabled on Eagle Eye displays.
