Ghost® Trolling Motor software version 1.3 is now available for download via the Lowrance® mobile app or a compatible display connected to an NMEA 2000® network.

How to Perform the Ghost 1.3 Software Update
Software version 1.3.04 includes:
Heading / Course adjustments
- Course/heading adjustments can be made by pressing and holding the left or right arrows on the trolling menu access panel on compatible Displays/MFDs
- Course/heading adjustments can be made by pressing and holding the momentary button on the trolling motor pedal. Adjust the pedal angle to set the new heading/course and then release the momentary to set the new direction.
Bug Fixes
- Additional alarm codes have been added to make it easier to identify the cause of an issue. For alarm code identification please visit Software and Manuals Downloads | Lowrance USA to reference the new alarm codes in the Ghost® Operator’s Manual.
Note: After updating, the user will need to reconfigure the trolling motor programmable keys and set the desired stow direction. To configure trolling motor keys and set stow direction, the Ghost® and compatible MFD MUST be connected to an NMEA 2000® network.
Updating the Trolling Motor software via NMEA 2000® & Compatible Display/MFD:
- Visit Software and Manuals Downloads | Lowrance.com
- Download Ghost® 1.3 update to a micro-SD card that is 32Gb or smaller.
- Put the micro-SD card into the card slot on the display.
- Press Pages > storage > select the SD card > select the update > upgrade > select Ghost® trolling motor > start upgrade.
- Once the screen says update complete, wait for the indicator arrow LED to stop flashing BEFORE powering off the motor.
- Once the LEDs stop flashing the motor is now ready for operation.
Updating Trolling Motor Software via the Lowrance app:
A reliable Cellular or Wi-Fi connection will be needed to properly update the Ghost® trolling motor via app.
- After downloading the Lowrance app, follow the onscreen instructions to pair your device with the Ghost® Trolling Motor.
- Once this process is complete, select Manage My Devices.
- Select Ghost® from the list, select Update firmware, and then proceed with the onscreen instructions.
- Warning: Losing Wi-Fi or cell reception during the update process could cause issues during the update process. Do not utilize this method of updating in areas with limited data connectivity or while using a personal device with a low battery.
